Who We Are

Kambala Old Girls (KOG) is the official association for former students who completed part or all of their education at Kambala. All former students are considered Kambala Old Girls (KOGs). Established in 1896, the association aims to engage and support its members by maintaining a meaningful connection with each other and the school. Through a variety of events, networking opportunities, and programs, KOG fosters a strong sense of community among its diverse network of over 7,500 women worldwide. Whether you are a recent graduate or a long-standing member, KOG provides platforms to connect, celebrate achievements, and contribute to the vibrant Kambala community.

KOG serves a robust and diverse community of more than 7,500 women across the globe. The association strives to connect Old Girls wherever they are, organising events in Sydney, regional NSW, London, and New York. These gatherings showcase the depth and reach of KOG’s global network and reflect its commitment to nurturing lifelong connections among its members.

KOG offers an active portfolio of annual events designed to engage Old Girls of all ages, from Young Old Girls (YOGs) to Vintage Old Girls (VOGs). The events include reunions, social gatherings, and networking opportunities that enable members to celebrate and connect with each other. Signature events, such as the Year 13 Music Festival at the Sydney Opera House and the annual Vintage lunch, provide unique experiences for different generations to come together and share their Kambala spirit.

KOG is dedicated to supporting its members at every stage of their lives. For Young Old Girls, this support begins even before they leave school, with LinkedIn and interview skills training to prepare them for their tertiary education and early careers. The association also offers an internship program for university students and recent graduates, and a mentoring program that connects younger alumni with experienced KOGs in their chosen fields. These initiatives are designed to foster personal and professional growth within the community.

The KOG Business Network provides a platform for members to promote their careers and connect with other professionals. Business Network breakfasts and events offer valuable opportunities for Old Girls to share their expertise, build relationships, and support each other in their professional endeavours. This focus on networking helps to strengthen the community and enhance the professional lives of its members.

KOG’s commitment to connecting Old Girls extends beyond city borders, with international events like cocktail gatherings and The Linden Fellowship scholarship in New York. Regional lunches bring together Kambala alumni from both the country and the city, fostering a sense of unity among members from diverse backgrounds. These events ensure that all KOGs, regardless of their location, can maintain a connection to the school and each other.

KOG’s event calendar includes special occasions that celebrate the history and achievements of its members. The Generations morning tea brings Old Girls back to school to connect with current students, while the annual Vintage lunch offers those who left Kambala over 50 years ago a chance to reunite, reminisce, and rekindle old friendships. These events are a testament to the enduring bonds formed at Kambala and the association’s dedication to honouring its legacy.

KOG encourages all members to stay engaged by regularly updating their contact details, following the association on social media, and participating in its programs and events. Whether through attending reunions, joining the KOG Executive Committee, or taking part in mentoring and networking initiatives, there are countless opportunities to be an active member of this vibrant community.
